Author Joan Warren: The Stepping Stones of Your Life Journey
Lao Tzu said, “The journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step.” It is possible that an alternative could be, “The journey of a thousand miles begins under your feet.”
This statement encourages you to focus directly on what is in front of you instead of concerning yourself with what might or might not happen in the future.
The gift of this is that our journey, or pathway, is made up of many individual stepping stones.
When we allow our mind and its fears to control us, the stepping stones are arranged in a circle, and we keep repeating and depleting our natural energy and do not live within our authentic power. Almost everyone has said sometime during their life; I am tired of going in circles.
When we rearrange the stepping stones by listening to guidance and keeping our vibrations high, we will see that the stones are arranged in a path at our feet and stretch out past the visible horizon. We start with the stone beneath our feet. It is an exciting journey.
Becoming aware of the circular arrangement of the stones comes when we move from the victim state to the conscious awareness of our higher self. It is easier when we know our dream, what we want our life to be like, and what we believe we are here to accomplish.
Along the path, you might find yourself on a detour, but that is okay. A detour always leads back to your primary way. Be kind to yourself, and stay alert. Never allow the small, daily tasks that sometimes feel boring and repetitive to take the presidency in your life, but keep your dream in front of you.
Do not tame yourself with the small, daily tasks of life; keep your dream and gratitude for that dream alive and well. Capture the energy of your vision and fill yourself up inside with it. That way, you will tame the small, bothersome tasks of human life, and your energy will flow naturally.
