Author Joan Warren: In My Heart’s Garden
In My Heart’s Garden
My heart is like a garden – where I be
filled with many colors for all to see.
The outer garden ismature,
and there is always strength to endure.
Within its circle is a private place
where each pansy lifts its smiling face.
These gentle blossoms all need watering
for them to grow without faltering.
Whenever there is a need,
I go to the tool shed to find the feed,
and with meditation, rest and song
I know that I am where I belong.
Within this garden, I have a choice,
so within its walls, I rejoice.
My heart is open to prayer
and I find the stillness with me there.
As my heart is like a garden – where I be
renewing and growing free.
My garden is fed, my spirit healed,
my faith is forever sealed,
And if in trust you’ll stay true
You will find the same for you.
